Flow + Refresh for the Food Bank
Support The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB)'s COVID-19 (coronavirus) relief with a series of donation-based gentle Vinyasa + Yin/Restorative yoga classes that are meant to be accessible to all bodies.
100% of the proceeds from this yoga class will go to GBFB.
Dates: Every Wednesday in May
Time: 6-7:15 pm EST
Place: Your living room (virtual via Zoom)
Details: You are invited to attend any or all of these classes. We will be practicing on Zoom. Please download Zoom on your laptop, phone, or tablet in advance of our class.
You are welcome to set up with your camera so that we can practice together, or just listen and watch as you're practicing if you're more comfortable doing so.
If available, set up with at least one blanket and a bolster/cushion/pillow. Feel free to get creative with props, or feel free to practice without them if you don't have them.
We'll begin our class with a gentle Vinyasa flow practice before transitioning into Yin/Restorative shapes. Finally, we'll end with a meditation and a nourishing Savasana (final rest). The last 15 minutes will be dedicated to creating a community space. Of course, you can sign off if you need to, but you are also welcome to stay and get to know your classmates.
Suggested donation: $5-10.
Please pay what you can, only if you can. And yes, you are also welcome to donate more than $10.
A $50 donation will help provide meals for 150 people struggling with hunger, and our fundraising goal for the month is $500. So far, we've raised $120!
Registration: To register, please follow this link to donate to GBFB: https://my.gbfb.org/team/295155
Anyone who has already donated is welcome to attend the class! If you have not done so yet, please donate to GBFB, email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) a screenshot/receipt of your donation, and I will share our Zoom event link with you.
Also feel free to express your interest on our Facebook event page.
Namaste Saturday at the MFA
