My purpose is to inspire global health and equity through yoga, writing, and research.
In teaching yoga, I am committed to making the practice accessible, affordable, inclusive, and culturally appropriate (rather than appropriated). I seek to make yoga a trauma-informed, collaborative practice that is open to individuals of all ages, races, ethnicities, sexes, sexual orientations, income levels, body types, and abilities. In teaching, I seek to honor the sacred roots of the practice while making space for individuals to share elements of their own cultures – including music, poetry, stories, spirituality, and physical forms.
